Broader, more compact form of ‘Miss Wilmott’s Ghost’ this glowing, silvery leafed biennial, 2.5 – 3’ tall comes up soft and green the first year…then the second year the metallic, silver ghost arises, with its sculpted. spiny leaves, topped by otherworldly, silver blue, domed flower heads surrounded by thistle-like bracts on branched upright stems that become next years seed crop to repeat the cycle. Blooms happen in June-July but flowers approach everlasting status in the garden. Stems and flowers are excellent in fresh and dried arrangements! Sun, well-drained soil, regular moisture preferred but takes less. Deer/critter resistant.
