(CYCLAMEN LEAVED VIOLET) As the name implies, the rounded heart shaped leaves resemble small cyclamen and are intricately decorated on the surface with silver etchings that glow over the red undersides. These appreciate bright shade for best coloration. Like most violets, they are edaphically tolerant, but are most content in rich, moist, well drained soils. Foliage mats are 4-6” tall and spread to about 12” wide. I seem to always find this plant nestled into places other than where I originally planted them, but it is always a pleasant surprise! Violet blue flowers April to June.
